Where has this product been? I’ve had a screen enclosed pool for 7 years, for 7 years I’ve cursed and screamed while installing new screen. No more friends, no more. I watched a YouTube video where a man suggested and showed how to use these. It was the best 10 min video for how to do the chore.
Th clips simply slide into place with a little squeeze and they hold tight while you’re rolling in the rubber spline. (Remember, the curved side of the spline goes in, flat towards you.) It’s a one man job now, only one ladder instead of 2 and my wife’s help,to hold it level. I replaced 2 complete screens, 2 x 8 ft and 2x3 ft in less than 20 minutes.
I would recommend this to anyone who asks. I cannot say anything about durability, I got them yesterday 6/1/2020. They’re stainless steel and worth their weigh in precious metals.

Highly recommend if you find yourself changing screen a lot. I had to replace a couple panels because my dog is constantly punching them out. And worse, the screen is on the ground behind some big bushes. You have to do the ground part from inside the cage. Almost impossible to do. These clips made it no more painful than a root canal (which is amazing).
I haven't tried it on screen at eye level yet, but I expect it'll be much easier, too.
Btw, watch the video on YouTube if you're having trouble. There is a trick to flat spline. There's a rim on the inner edge of the groove, so jam the spline in there then roll the rest into the outer edge. Flat side out!

These clips save me lots of frustration. I originally used tapes to hold the screen while installing it on my front porch aluminum frame,
but the screen kept falling off. The package suggests to apply the clips in certain order, but I found it doesn’t matter.
All my screens come out taut and beautiful. It’s not necessary to apply too many clips, as they will just get in your way and slow you down.
These are good quality clips and can be reused many times. It’s a little hard to squeeze them to fit in the grooves.

Perfect for the solo re-screening job
"I first thought these were some kind of gimmick but trying to hold a 7' piece of screen and get the spline started by myself was proving to be nearly impossible.
I looked on YouTube and elsewhere for ideas on how to do this (pieces of tape, clamps, etc.) and happened to stumble on these and a similar product made of plastic.
I opted for these metal clamps. You get started and following the pattern indicated on the little card that's part of the packaging.
Don't lose that darned thing or take a picture or make a copy. The order by which you put these in makes a huge difference.
Essentially you do the entire top row, the two bottom corners,
the work top to bottom on each side then complete the bottom. After a while you don't need the card but it's nice to have in the beginning.
The edges of the clips are pretty polished so I had no problem with them snagging the screen or scratching any of the aluminum parts.
They look like stainless but they did start to corrode just a bit from being left on the porch.
Overall....if you're putting up screen solo and only have two hands you're going to want a set of these."- John E.
