    The Cajón (meaning “box” in Spanish) is a box percussion instrument originating from Peru that can be played with hands, fingers, brushes or sticks. The Kalena Cajón utilizes adjustable metal strings attached inside the faceplate.  This achieves a snare drum-like effect.
