A Tempo Percussion's Conga Cajons are made in Peru, considered by most to be the birthplace of the cajon as a musical instrument. These drums are played with a similar technique to congas, but the results are completely unique. Sealed at both ends, A Tempo Conga Cajons produce a distinct melodic tone with a surprising amount of projection. The rounded, mellow tones can be accented with the sharp pop of a slap tone using the same technique as you would a standard conga. The playing surface is multi-ply Spanish Cedar and Lupuna.
