Description

316 Stainless Steel has better corrosion and pitting resistance as well as higher strength at elevated temperatures than the 304 alloy. Commonly used in marine enviroments, It can be formed and readily welded by all methods. Finish is "Hot Rolled", tolerances for stainless steel angle are not as stringent as other materials due to the manufacturing process. Please refer to tolerances under "Notes" section.

Weight: For angles of 6 lb/ft or less, the weight tolerances shall not exceed plus or minus 7-1/2 %. For angles over 6 lb/ft, the weight tolerance shall not exceed plus or minus 4-1/2 %.
Length of Legs: For angles having legs or flanges up to 6 inch, inclusive, the length tolerance shall not exceed plus or minus 1/8 inch. For angles having legs or flanges over 6 inch, the length tolerance shall not exceed plus 3/16 inch and minus 1/8 inch.
Squareness of Legs: The tolerance for the right angle between the legs is plus or minus 2 % degrees
